Limited-benefit and supplemental products
Fixed-indemnity, accident, critical-illness, and other limited-benefit products provide limited or scheduled benefits. They are not substitutes for comprehensive major medical insurance and may not qualify as minimum essential coverage.
Short-term medical products
Short-term medical insurance may use medical underwriting, exclude pre-existing conditions, impose coverage limits, and provide fewer consumer protections than comprehensive major medical coverage. Availability and permitted durations vary by state.
Discount and service plans
A discount plan is not insurance and does not pay claims. It may provide access to participating providers, services, or negotiated discounts. You remain responsible for charges after applicable discounts.
Rates and fees
A website request does not establish a rate. Any later quote or internal enrollment review should identify recurring product charges and one-time enrollment or administrative fees. All amounts remain subject to the applicable eligibility, underwriting, approval, effective-date, and administrator rules.
Product documents control
Marketing summaries are not contracts. The issued policy, certificate, membership agreement, schedule of benefits, outline of coverage, and other governing documents control the product’s terms.
